So since I last posted. I got a girlfriend. broke up, my mother moved out, bought a car, Started a choir,joined a choir,made some good friends, lost some friends, went to an amazing wedding and some other stuff. But I cant remember much of it. Anyhow, so heres the list.

I started dating a flautist in windband, just before we went to germany. It was pleasant. But once returned to real life, I realized we arent that compatible.

My mother moved back to PE. So Now we live on our own here. And its going farly well, save for a couple of small inconvieniences. She seems happy down there. she misses us alot thought.

I bought myself a Polo playa, to replace the golf. Its Plumb. Quite nice.Lovely gimicks. like adjustable lights, and it has a drawer under each seat. so I can keep my crap neat and tidy

We auditioned for the Highway childrens choir last week. we have a nice number of children and tuesday we are having the first parents meeiting. Im quite excited. Luke is conducting and Im Managing as usual.

I also joined a choir. The Durban Symphonic Choir. Seems fun. Though I am the youngest in the choir at the moment. But we will see how its singing with a proper choir again.

Ive met some interesting people. Cobus Venter, A JHB based actor who is living with us while a show is running down here. Ive also started spending more time with some of my colleagues from work, and I met a client who is actually a real awesome guy. Something else, now that Ive moved company, My friendship with Chantal has improved alot. We spend a decent amount of time together. All is bliss.

I seem to be loosing a friend or three. just because either they have progressed passed what I can provide, or just have lost interest in my friendship. Im rather miffed about  it. They are still frienly to me, but the closeness is gone. But hey. thats life. People come and people go. Hope they will come back though

I also went to an awesome wedding. This was the first wedding that I attended as an adult. It was amazing. It was beautifull. It was elegant. And the people were amazing.

Anyhow, I will try and post more often. I will have morestuff to post I think.

I know I ahvent updated my blog in a while… been kinda busy lately…

Recently, one of my orchestras (DTO)  in conjuction with Westville Boys high, Put on a production of Oklahoma. It was a crapload of work, But fun all round.

Some of our Oklahomies went camping (read rucus drinking). We went to waxies after most rehearsals(read rucus drinking). We had people calling the waitresses Cunts when the waitress thought we were waiving at her and lots of extra stupid things.

I believe Ive found my set of good male mates,  Ive never felt as good as I do with them in a long time. We can have intelligent conversations, Drink stylefully, and best of all, we all cook and love classical music. I would say were probably durbans classical music freaks :-),Then along with this ive also made new friends Like Shylo, with an absolutely gorgeous voice. And Ive distanced me from people who just cause too much bloody stress.

Ive taken on a new project, which one needs to be absolutely bonkers to take on. Me and one of the above mentions friends and a conductor intent on putting Mahler Symphony nr 8 (symphony of a thousand) on in Durban, By making use of all of the musical enteties in durban we can lay our hands on. Its going to be huge. Its going to be lots of work, And we will probably be extatic when it finished. We Want to get it broadcasted aswell.

Come the end of the month, I will be going on a tour with the KZNYO to eastrand. It will be interesting to see how this turns out… Some people are pessimistic. Im just seeing it as a nice and quiet long weekend

Anyhow, I need to pretend to work now, As Im the last standing senior employee here, as ralfe resigned, so yeah. Anyhow, Ciao

Yesterday I had a snoek braai where I invited my new standard geek clan (Andrea, Rodney,Duncan,David).

We made snoek with my apricot and butter sauce. And boerewors for the non snoek consumers.

My famous Sago Pudding was also made, which people seemed to enjoy. My brothers GF now wants training.

Was a fun day and we ended up playing scrabble. I just realized how much I sucked at scrabble…

Was quite tired after the whole day. and for some reason I ended up with a headache of note.

Alarm at work ended up being triggered like 7 times during the night. Which  Meant I got very little sleep.

In the time I was sleeping, I had a dream that I went to some form of a convention with one of the girls I met at KZNYO. Cuddeling enjoyed, and There was some big fiasco at the convention or something, and I took $girl home again, and not quite sure what happened, But two other popular guys popped up from somewhere. and they ended up getting the girl. Seems not even in my dreams do I successfully get the Girl in the end. I wonder if this isnt some form of mental Block or some crap.

Anyhow, I should pretend to work now. Some fools have arrived.

So, I thought I would join my 4 concurrent orchestra last year, For some extra fun, You all know how much spare time I have.

So they start the year off with a camp. I couldnt attend the whole camp, Due to My boss still being in the states, and I was left in charge(I dont like managing 40 year old babies) So I decided to drive up for two of the days where they practiced.

The committee was very friendly and accepting of the fact that I worked, and Marcelle, one of the committee said that I should rather sleep over that night instead. Which I ended up doing.

The Orchestra Is fairly Big, and is split into two Groups. Totalling about 75 members. Which Is awesome.

I made some awesome new friends, The one that probably is the best option for long term good friendship is Mary-anne. She Is anwesome girl, friendly and filled with lots off goodness, and is funny too!

We spent most of the day playing 007, and this got a wee monotonous. But it still was fun. I havent relaxed this much in ages, There was minimum work stress (as duncan could take the reigns from me for the day) And I actually slept well, Save the heat. All in all was a spectacular day.

That evening, I had a chat to one of the girls who was sick. Ended up that we took a photo together at the  rocky horror picture show. Was Really arb that we bumped into each other. Quite cool too, since when I posted the picture I actually made a comment stating I wonder weather We would ever track them down. And So I did. stalker point +1 :-p

I went back up on friday for the lat day of rehersal and their mini concert.

I arrived just before breakfast. I actually regretted not being able to be there the days before. Wouldnt have minded mingling with my new friends more.

We rehearsed, I had more chats with Mary-anne. And concert came and went, And the fun day had come to an end. On the way home my fanbelt snapped. But that wasnt a too major issue, as its easy to fix… Just need to have a spare on you at that moment…

Anyhow, my morning jogurt has run out, so I think I will pretend to work now

Friday night I went after a meeting at work to PMB to go and visit Rashmi, a friend who decided to move to springs for ther practicals for what ever flavor of medicine she did. She brought down her boy for us to meet. He is quite a nice bloke… Lots of fun was had and I ended up driving back to durban quite late.

Saturday was rather uneventfull.
Sunday was awesome, As awesome a day could be when you arent allowed to buy beer. It started with me wating a scifi series called firefly. Watched about three episode, then I went to buy meat, and went to a braai for the hackerspace.

The braai was down in dodgeville, down in amanzimtoti. I Arrived first at karls house. So I played with their pets and stuff, and chatted some crap. Duncan came next, and we ended up with rodney and terry coming last.

We talked alot of crap, Had some good meat, Julie made an awesome apple pudding. Not sure what was in it, but it was brilliant. We chatted some more, and then I got a call from the office saying something horribly was wrong with one of our big products, And I hadto go an fix.

The first problem came when I had to leave. They had a horribly steap diveway, and I had to reverse out of it. Karl ended up doing it as I was in a hurry, and he knew his driveway best.

As I left I was notified that this is a telkom issue and they had to resolve it, so I went along to a very dear friend of mine, Chantal, to deliver her christmas gift(no, im not pagan or christian, But I believe in the good gestures christmas shares.)

I expected to be there for about half an hour, maybe an hour max, but we started watching a very very dodgey show we both played in, and then watchedsome tv, and then, I got hooked into conversations with her parents and herself (mostly her parents tho). I was later informed that the mother liked me, so It was an awesome time, that even gave my ego a kickback…

I was fed the most awesome carrot cake, chatted more, and ended up leaving there only at about 21h30….

Got home, and my gate rings, and my brothers better half rang the bell and just decided to come and pitch there for the night even tho my brother hadnt yet returned…

When I got to the office this morning, I hear a strange beeping sound, And I see the place had been burgaled. Now I know the alarm went off last night, and my security company went there, and told me everything was OK, even tho my one window was crowbarred open and some other crap. Karma Bit me in the arse for some of my bad deeds probably, or the wheel turned and good times turned to bad. So I ended up faffing, and had to make a 40 min call to my boss in the states after the police had arrived.

I should mention some of the bad karma was probably me making another guy jealous by telling little bits of info that made him think I was hooking up with a amazingly stunningly beatifull flautist. Which I *unfortunately* didnt.

Ok, this happened a while ago, but still definitely worth blogging about.

I was approached to play in a pit orchestra for the westville girls high threatre production of a sondheim musical, called Into the Woods. Its not wellknow, but the music is glorius and fun. It all happened on very short notice, But was bliss

The musical is a mismatch of various children stories, with intersting twists here and there. Like disloyal princes, giants, cinderella and raponzel and various others featured.

One of the nights one of the lead charecters was hit by a wooden stick on stage. was rather funny. Little kirsty looked rather dazed… :-p

The fun started after the show, where most nights we would go out for beers afterwards. Lots of stories shared. Lots of photos taken. Lots of fun had.

All and all it was bliss. Our audience was a bit small, But it was awesome! I cant wait  for the next show.

I know I havent posted recently, As im compltely stuffed busy. I have practically joined the youth orchestra, which means I play in 3 orchestras and the Windband. And now, Im playin in a musical Hosted by westville Girls High, So Sleep is a luxury im not getting much of.

Anyhow, a while ago, (in august) The British Cultural and heritage society Hosted an event called Orchestra 2008. Its basically a huge mass orchestra conducted by Richard Cock. Its usually lots of fun. With some infants playing (people below pubrety) and a couple of octogenarians. But the special thing was I met my Good friend Chantal du Toit again. We somehow drifted appart as I left the westville schools orchestra. Neither of us actually Went to a westville school. She didnt even live in westville or surrounding areas. Anyhow, We are quite good friends again, wich is something wich really makes me happy.

So This past saturday, I go to a rehearsal for this Into the woods (which im being paid for) instead of the provincial windband, Where ive only missed one Rehearsal before this, which was when I was in Capetown for work. And I find out, that no, Im in deep shit for missing a rehearsal. While there are people who come half an hour late for almost every rehearsal, and People who miss almost every second rehersal. But when I miss 1 Rehearsal, Im in the shit. So I have a feeling The conductor (a german) And I will be exchanging some loud words at the next rehersal.

Not too long after that Steph invited me to a thing she did sound for at ‘Lords and Legends’ Down in toti, And for the first time in a long time I convinced a someone to go somewhere with me alone, And Chantal and I played catchup for a couple of hours. It really was fun… I need to invest in more friends I do things with. Its blissfull.

Somewhere along the line, I  was asked to play in a musical, Called ‘Into the Woods’ Its a really wonderfull play, When done Properly. At the time of writing, Im fearing the outcome of the play, But, these things have a way to come together In the end. Lets just hope it comes together, considering we open this week.

Anyhow, With the DCO we have a gig on the 26th, At marian Hill Monestary. Its a wonderfull program, Featuring Grieg, Schubert, Beethoven and Bach, With a possibility of some Mozart.

Righto. I need to get back  to pretending to Work a bit more….

So it was my birthday on friday… As a party, We went to the rocky horror picture show..

It was suggested by my best friend that we dress up… Boy was it fun…

I took off half of friday to go shopping for the skirt and crap, as i dont own any. Fishnets, and a red top thingie…

The show itself was awesome… There were probably about 15 other people dressed up. I was the only other male…. Pathetic durbanites.

Anyhow, Thanks to Kirsty,Jess and Travis for making its an unforgettable evening. Without a doubt the best birthday ive ever had. I love you guys

I know i havent posted lately, been lazy, been busy, been lonely etc.

Anyhow, I Sorta got a girl in December, Was wonderfull, But, i couldnt see her just yet, since i was in PE, an when i came back she went to Switzerland. When She Came back, I tried to arrange Multiple dates, but she said her mother said no, made her babysit, and various other things. But i still liked her. Then one day, on the way to PMB with some friends, people started talking of her, and spoke of her new boyfriend. And i was wondering, wtf. Isnt this me? And then i heard, that no, she started dating a Bloke called Tanner. This was rather a pop of my bubble. I Thought she was this honest Girl, Who believed in Being Open in  a relationship. But boy, was i wrong. She even still denied it when i asked her, And to this day, she still hasnt said a word to me. Sigh. The first real confirmation i got from her, was on facebook. When she changed her  relationship status to in a relationship with this tanner. Oh well. I was hoodwinked. Luckily, I have good friends like Kirsty and Jess to make up for silly girls like that. But in a way, even tho she betrayed me, i still like Erin.

Then, out of the blue I get an email, from a friend, called ralfe, and asked if im interested in a job, at a company called cybertek. I went for the interview the next day, and started working the day there after, Exactly three months ago. Was quite cool. Im their technical manager/network engineer/senior geek. People are friendly, Good decent boss, Decent pay. All seems wonderfull. Restrictions are small. And I get lots of biltong.

Then for work i went to capetown. Had to install a new cisco router, meet a client, who wants a big contract.Spent the day there, Faught with telkom for not activating the line, Had lunch with the boss and our salesrep in campsbay and various other things. At the end of the day i met Jeremy at the waterfront for a meal. I had some hours to burn at the waterfront, so i did some shopping. Was interesting. First time in my life i voulantarily went shopping. didnt buy much. But was fun catchin up again with jeremy. Went back to his place, slept, Had breakfast at mug and bean with him and Josie. I had forgotten how nice the cape was, And how pretty the place is when the coulds pour over the mountains. And then went home.

So lifes treating me not tooo miserably. And all is going well. I think. :-D

Lately lifes been rather complicated, all because i didnt want to listen to my best friend. Moral of the story, Allways listen to your bestfriend, especially if its a she. The friend will probably know whats best for you, and probably wouldnt suggest something which isnt in your best interests.
